The 2017 Pacifica Hybrid Minivan: Better MPG, Lower Emissions

2017 Pacifica Hybrid minivan

The long-anticipated Pacifica Hybrid was finally sighted this year at the Detroit Auto Show. This new minivan is unlike any other hybrid you’ve ever seen, with an advanced powertrain system, roomy interior, and high-quality engineering. We can’t wait to see this model in action.

The new 2017 Pacifica Hybrid minivan will come with some great upgrades and features. This includes 30 miles of extended range, boosting it to 80 MPGe. The all-electric mode is capable of travelling at 75 mph, according to Inside EVs, so you can easily travel the highway without burning a drop of gas.

What else is this hybrid getting? The 16 kWh battery qualifies for an impressive $7,500 federal tax credit, bringing the overall price down. These liquid-cooled battery systems are not only high-capacity cells, but they’re also made to increase output. This model will have a two-hour charging capability as well, letting you charge faster than ever.

Paired with the electric motor is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 gasoline engine. This is the same award-winning design that Chrysler has been using for several of its other models. It can generate up to 248 horsepower and 230 lb-ft of torque—and that’s just the engine. Add two electric motors and you have truly impressive power and speed.

In order to optimize space, you will be able to take out the second-row seating. However, the Stow-N-Go seating will be removed in order to make room for added batteries. When all is said and done, the new Pacifica Hybrid promises to be a great model with unparalleled fuel economy.

In the mean time, or if you’re looking for the Pacifica but aren’t ready to make the jump to EV quite yet, you can check out the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica in stock in Walled Lake at Shuman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram!
