Chrysler has tons of new models, trims, and options in its latest model lineup, many of which were showcased during the 2017 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Often called the Detroit Auto Show, this is one of the biggest events in the industry. Brands can showcase the best of the best, earning awards and recognition. In fact, the new Pacifica minivan won the 2017 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year. Read on to learn more about Chrysler at the NAIAS.
According to the NAIAS website, Chrysler had several things on display. This includes the latest 200 and 300 designs, with sporty exteriors, bold fascias, and improved performance.
Among the most talked about was the new Chrysler Portal Concept, an electric minivan with futuristic looks and a truly eco-friendly design. This van comes with up to 250 miles in range, as well as aerodynamic contours and the latest technologies. No word yet on if it’ll hit production in the near future.
The biggest news for the brand was the all-new Chrysler Pacifica, which earned a whopping 300 points in the show to take home the gold medal for its class. The North American Utility Vehicle of the Year award is new for 2017, recognizing the growing demand of the segment. The new Pacifica is kid friendly, durable, and powerful—a truly versatile ride.
