Unquestionably, the most exciting new vehicle to hit the streets this year is the all-new Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, which takes the unbelievable power of the Challenger SRT Hellcat and turns it up another notch or two. As Dodge gets closer to launching its diabolic performance car, it is unfurling more details about the features that will make it the hottest-ticket item this side of Hell, Michigan.
According to CNET, the new Challenger SRT Demon will come with a new transmission brake, among other features. A trans brake is capable of engaging both reverse and drive at the same time, allowing you to up the revs without the car creeping forward on the start line. The new model also comes with a launch mode, a supercharger, and more.
“Most cars attempt to be everything to everybody. Then there are the rare few that revel in a single objective, rendering them totally irresistible to a subculture,” said Tim Kuniskis at FCA North America. “The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is conceived, designed and engineered for a subculture of enthusiasts who know that a tenth is a car and a half second is your reputation.”
