Technology has become a bigger part of our driving experience than ever before, with much more advanced integration between our phones, music, navigation and searching the web in our cars. Not everyone is into being so plugged in on the road, but if you are then you’ll be excited to hear that Apple is coming to Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram!
Apple’s has announced the expansion of their tech integration called CarPlay to the Chrysler brands, including Dodge, Jeep and Ram, which have committed to adding Apple’s CarPlay in up-coming models (think next year). Supported software required for CarPlay use would include an iPhone 5, 5s or 5c plus iOS 7.1 or later.
With CarPlay, Apple is coming to Chrysler brands to integrate certain apps including music, maps, messages and phone contacts. These apps will be displayed in the built-in infotainment system and played through the car’s audio system and be controlled through in-car dash display buttons/touchscreen or voice command.
We’re very excited to have the ability to integrate our iPhones in the new and upcoming Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles!
