Back in January, Chrysler Group and Mopar teamed up with Hall Brothers Racing to debut the first OEM truck to enter the Monster Jam monster truck racing series in over a decade. This new monster truck, called Mopar Muscle, is built on a 2014 Ram Heavy Duty body and powered with a supercharged 565 cubic engine engine based on the iconic 426 Hemi.
“We’re excited to have Mopar make its first foray into the world of monster trucks by joining the Ram brand in this popular and competitive exhibition series with a such a passionate and loyal following,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group’s service, parts and customer-care brand. “So much of what Mopar does is applicable to the general consumer, but occasionally we like to show just how capable our brand is of really extreme performance. This is a great and fun opportunity for us to do that with Mopar Muscle and the Hall Brothers.”
There are two other monster trucks based from Ram trucks and a part of the Hall Brothers Racing team, Rammunition and the Raminator. These trucks and Mopar Muscle competed in the Monster Jam show in Detroit back in January, and there are other shows in the surrounding states yet to come, but we hope to see this new Ram Monster Truck competing back in the area again next year!
