Ram Special Edition Monster Truck Breaks World Speed Record

Here at Shuman Motor Company, our jaws hit the floor when we saw the Raminator, a Ram Special Edition Monster Truck.  A monument to Ram engineering, the monster truck recently broke the Guinness World Record® for the “Fastest Speed for a Monster Truck” at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas.

Although you won’t see many Ram pickups quite as large as the Raminator, the Hall Brothers Racing team utilized Ram truck technology in order to build this goliath of a truck. According to Chrysler, the Raminator has won the Monster Truck Racing Association’s (MTRA) “Truck of the Year” award a record eight times.

“Taking on the challenge of breaking a world record has been an experience we will never forget,” said Hall Brothers Racing President and Crew Chief Tim Hall. “With the support of Ram and Mopar, we continue to add to our achievements and are honored to now be a Guinness World Records holder.”

The Ram special edition monster truck is built on the Ram 1500 platform and features a customized supercharged Hemi®. Believe it or not, the truck gets over 2000 hp and broke the record at 99.1 mph. It just goes to show what you can do if you’re working with Ram quality parts.
